What types of used Renault Megane cars are there?

The Renault Megane first came out in the mid-'90s and offered another option for a solid family hatchback. 

Since its first iteration, the French brand has overhauled the design and under the bonnet to produce one of the best hatches on the market in Britain, and we think the latest model looks great 

In 2022, the French manufacturer replaced the long-standing hatchback and estate models with an electric SUV, badged Megane E-Tech. 

While some of the more recent hatchback iterations look reasonably similar, they each offer considerable quality and equipment upgrades, making the final hatchback model one not to miss.

What features does the Renault Megane have?

All cars come with a good touchscreen infotainment system, but if you want a larger screen that’s portrait, not landscape, you’ll have to climb the trim levels.  

Functions such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the range, and high-spec models come with the option of a more powerful Bose sound system.  

Most models get all the essentials too, like cruise control, parking sensors and automatic lights. 

Boot size varies by model, and plug-in hybrid cars have less space, but overall, the Megane offers a considerable amount more space than its key rivals. 

Is the Renault Megane reliable?

Renault has a track record of building durable cars, and certain newer ones get an upgraded five-year warranty to prove this. Moreover, the 1.3-litre petrol engine is so good that Mercedes uses it in many of its cars.
